The Wiz Kids Table Quiz

This year 6th Class have been involved in JEP (Junior Entrepreneur Programme) where they have learnt about what it is to be a entrepreneur and the principles of  running a business. It was decided by the class to run a table quiz for the entire school which proved to be highly successful. The girls wrote all the questions and worked really hard on the project. All the boys and girls from the junior end of the school, right up to 5th class really had a great time eating jellies and participating in the quiz. The winners of the table quiz received medals and Easter eggs and everyone who took part got a lollipops to take home. We might even hold another one next year! Great job to the 6th class girls!

6th Class Confirmation

On a very sunny Saturday the 21st of March, the 6th class girls received the sacrament of Confirmation. It was a very special day for all the girls who shared it with their families and sponsors. Fr. Larry led the ceremony and he congratulated the girls and their parents on this special milestone in their lives. The girls participated in the mass extremely well and we are all so proud of them. Well Done ladies.

Letter Writing to our Idols!

6th Class have had a busy few weeks. Writing letters to our idols was a highlight. The girls learned all about the format of letter writing and the steps involved in posting a letter. Brian O' Driscoll, Katie Taylor and Henry Shefflin were among the people whom the girls wrote to. We have already received two replies from Rachel Allen and Michael Flatley which caused great excitement in the classroom. Here's hoping more replies will come soon!

The Kitchen Laboratory

5th Class enjoyed a lesson based on testing things they would find in the kitchen to see if they were acids or bases. The class used litmus paper to test the liquids such as lemon juice, washing up liquid and vinegar.
