5th Class Final Term Construction Projects- Castles!

5th Class constructed amazing castles at home over the past 3 weeks. They learned all about castles in History before they started. The projects were made out of different recycled materials. Well done everyone!






Intercultural Week!

Intercultural Week was a huge success this year. There were talks on different religions and cultures, food tasting and even a drumming workshop. Every class got to go around the world  with their own passports too. The children dressed up on Friday in traditional dress of their own country too.

5th and 6th Class Trip to the Dáil!

5th and 6th Class visited the Dáil last Thursday. They were invited by Minister of State Simon Harris. We went into Dublin city centre by DART. They learned all about the Dáil and sat in on a debate. We stopped off in Stephen's Green to have some lunch. It was a great day out!

Games Club!

4th, 5th and 6th Class are taking part in Games Club this term with Ms.Hickey and Ms.Breen. They are learning new card and board games.


Learning All About India!

5th Class have chosen India as their country for Intercultural Week. They are learning all about the food, dance, culture, tourist attractions and animals. We found out that the National Bird of India is the Peacock. So in Art last week we recreated the peacock using oil pastels or chalk pastels.

Simon Harris Visit!

Simon Harris, the Fine Gael politician came into visit 5th and 6th Class on Monday. He talked about his career and the work he does. The children asked very interesting questions and learned a lot. They are very excited for the visit to the Dáil on May 28th.


Making Clay Pottery!

5th Class made their own clay pots in Art last week. The pots will be painted this week in Art. They will be painted with aboriginal designs and drawings.
