Chinese Dancing

We were so lucky to have Sophie come in and teach our class some Chinese Dancing in January. She wore some beautiful costumes. We really enjoyed the afternoon.

Happy New Year from all of 5th and 6th Class...

We are really working hard this first week back and are looking forward to the next few months. We have lots planned.

We are currently studying China in SESE, in the lead up to Chinese New Year which will be celebrated on 31st January this year. Did you know that it is the Year of the Horse?

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....

Everyone is very excited about Christmas in 5th and 6th class. 
We have been so busy the last few weeks with the Christmas Fair organisation, where we all worked on the stalls, with our Christmas performance and with our very own Christmas decoration project.

Bizworld

5th and 6th became entrepreneurs in November when Bizworld picked our school to visit. Oisín taught us lots about the business world and we then had to create our very own animated movies and pitch our ideas to James who offered us shares in our businesses. Lots of skills were learnt over the two days and we covered areas such as economics, mathematics, English language skills, social studies and computer programming. We all really enjoyed the experience!
