Charlotte's Web Update!!

6th Class are flying through the novel Charlotte's Web, by E.B White.

We have completed lots of activities based around the novel.

Violin Spectacular

6th class will perform two pieces on the violin this Thursday 23rd May in the Mermaid.... We will perform Pony Trot and Song of the Huntsman.We are very excited to show our parents and families what we have rehearsed.

Author of the Month

6th Class have started reading Charlotte's Web this week.

E.B White is the author of the book and we have studied a little background information on him before starting the novel.
Did you know that he was also the author of the book Stuart Little and Trumpet of the Swan - all three of his books are now movies!

Pizza Making for Italy Month!

Fourth and Fifth Class made homemade pizza on Thursday to finish off a month of learning about Italy. They made six large pizzas. One group made pepperoni, ham and cheese.Another group made ham and cheese pizzas and the final group made sweetcorn, ham and cheese. They were delicious!!

Fun in the Sun!

Fourth and Fifth class enjoyed the first signs of Summer in the school garden this week. They sowed some new seeds and cleaned up their planting boxes.

Basketball 

Big congratulations to the girls from 6th class who participated in the Community Games Basketball Match on Thursday 2nd May in Ballywaltrim...They brought home silver !!
